monday.........day 16 & 17

The day started out...well, just like a Monday. I got shampoo in my eye, I shaved the same leg twice (which is never a good sign), and could not, even after over 20-something years of wearing one, could NOT get my bra to fasten (what the heck*?*). So I was feeling a tad sorry for myself and after a stressful weekend, just plain tired and weary, I started to cry. My wonderful dog Annie likes to bring you things-when you come to the door, when you're holding an upset baby, when you're emotional-she just likes to offer a happy little gift. You can get just about anything that is on the floor as a present-a sock, a flip flop, a toy...Well, today as I was upset she brought me the baby Jesus from Mallory's Little People Nativity set. I was aggravated so I tossed it back into the play room and went back to my pity party. She sat and watched me for a minute more and came back with the same "gift". I was just about to put it away AGAIN when I realized what I was holding. This random item she picked up twice... Well, lets just say that I ended my pity party, counted my blessings, and moved on. What a nice little gift on such a crazy morning*!*

I love these quotes (again*!*) for days 16 & 17...

"Human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives."
-William James

I can feel myself changing for the better:) -I'll stop in the middle of a crazy moment and it will occur to me that I can control how I deal with it. It's up to me to change my attitude. (I love this challenge!)

"You have to have confidence in your ability, and then be tough enough to follow through" Rosalyn Carter

The confidence for me, is the hardest part. I can do just about anything whole-hog if I feel confident in my abilities...gotta work on that.

Dogs are definitely a lot smarter than we give them credit for sometimes. How sweet that she was able to get you out of your "funk". I have days like that too and sometimes it takes something little like that to make us stop and think a bit. You're doing great Dianna!! I'm proud of your progress, you help keep me motivated too!

Any more info on November??? I"m so excited!
