Some time at the beach & No they didn't part 3

We decided to take a late afternoon trip to the beach yesterday. It was perfect...the crowds had thinned out, it wasn't too hot...just a relaxing, fun time.
I took the saturation down a bit on the photos...I like the way it makes beach shots look.

The surf was rough so there was a lot of seaweed lying around.

The large shells didn't stand a chance against the waves.

The smaller ones fared alright...most of the whole ones were tangled up in the beached seaweed.

Mallory helping me look for shells.

Mal's water wedgie ; )

Delaney helped me look too.

Mal's best super hero pose...what a goof.

COVERED in sand...of course.

My footprint along with some from a sand piper.

Isn't this cool? As long as Hubby and I have lived here and as much as we've been stung by jellyfish, we've NEVER seen one like this. We put a small reed in there and he wrapped those tentacles right around it...I'm sure he packs quite a punch (no way we were going to find out!).

Pieces from a large sand dollar (Mal's hand is for reference) and teeny one too...of course she crushed it right after I snapped this shot.

Delaney has been alive for almost 8 years and is quite over her Mom taking her photo...she'll thank me later ; )

One of my favorite shots of the day. It's a bit blurry but I think that's part of the reason I love it.

Mallory saying, "I want to go home now!"...you never have to wonder what that kid is thinking.

On the way home...
We were only there for about 2 hours, but I think we needed it.

There is some controversy as to whether or not this article was actually ever written for a magazine...I just think it's hil~a~ri~ous*!* Whatever the case may be, it HAD to have been written by a man (who hopefully is watching his back*!*).

Just a hoot for SOOOOO many reasons...priceless.
And Honey, don't get any d*mn ideas ok?

Your beach photos were SO good. We are heading to the beach in a few days. I am HUGE right now and I am not looking forward to being around all of the skinny minnies. Heffers.

Take care!

Great photos! Wish it were warm enough here to hit the beach (of course then we'd need a beach). I'm hoping we can enjoy the sand on our trip to the Oregon coast in August.

I love the "article." I have it saved. It definitely wasn't printed in the article claimed, but they say that most of the tips, are very true to life back then.

This picture of Mallory near the top is breathtaking! Awesome job. And of course the one in b/w that you liked is also amazing. Blake has been begging to go to the beach. He still doesn't quite get how far away we live from the ocean:)
