Checking off the *to do* list...

I have been working on getting some projects done around the house that have been on the ever growing *to do* list. I decided to take advantage of this ideal painting weather and tackle a few items that I have been glaring at for years.
Oh yes, this corner unit from the playroom indeed knew its boring days were numbered. After years of grumbling in the darn thing’s presence, I decided it was time. I am close to being finished with it and I have to say, I am pretty excited about how it is turning out. It’s getting me revved up to tackle more. I’m feeling inspired lately. Inspired is good.

Very, very good.

I found this drop cloth by accident:

It’s about $4 a package but I feel good knowing I’m not throwing another plastic party tablecloth in a landfill. Every little bit right?

Hopefully photos soon!

Ohhhhh. I can't wait to see the newly re-vamped treasure chest. I love that you are using a re-usable drop cloth. I have to admit that I am a Greenie. My family laughs at me sometimes, but it's worth it. I just keep thinking about the crying Indian on horseback. (You might be too young to remember that one.) :-D

I cannot wait for photos! That looks similar to my fugly kitchen cabinets. I'm dying to do something to them, but hubby swears it won't turn out like I want and be a huge project. Maybe some photos will convince him.
