She wanted me to lay in bed with her for a while on Saturday night and I did....gladly. It was so nice ~ we got cozy, whispered about our days, and fell asleep. I finally woke up two hours later and opened my eyes to the most gorgeous creature...she is so
beautiful...in every way. I cherish this time...I know it won't last forever so I'm going to eat up every minute. I know one day she won't even want me in her room much less snuggled up in bed with her, so I'm going to digest every moment I can. We spent some quality time today too ~ we went to Yia-Yia's house to do some crafting and work on our journals together. Just us...no tv...no radio...just us. It was heaven. I love watching her wheels turn as she figures out what she's going to do, papers to choose, markers to select...I swear I am in awe of her every day.We ate dinner outside tonight and played a while with the dog. It was so nice ~ slightly cool breeze, my freckle-faced girl and my blond curly girl just running around and giggling with their Daddy. I took a mental snapshot ~ these are the glory days for sure. I can't imagine what I did so right...
I snuggled with my first-born again tonight. I didn't fall asleep this time ~ I don't want to miss one minute...

There's nothing better than snuggling with our little ones, I'm lucky all 3 of mine are snugglers. Drew doesn't like it in public anymore, getting too big you know. But he loves it at home! I hope they never outgrow it.
dianna, dito on what kelly said!! though mine aren't that little anymore and i still try and get a snuggle in every now and then. kids grow up way to fast. if only i can turn back the clock.
