Still loving it...

Ahhh...sweet computer. Sweet, virus free computer. I love you.

Ok

I'm so stinking glad to be able to get on this thing without problems or pop ups. Y'all, I saw some HORRIBLE stuff pop up on this computer...burned into my brain kind of stuff. Disgusting to say the least. Upsetting, indecent,...just awful. WHY do people make such things to begin with and then insist on forcing them into our homes? Why aren't inspirational quotes forced to pop up? Or parenting tips? Or killer cupcake recipes?...I just don't get it. We ended up having to just turn the screen off during the day and do what we could (check email was about all) at night for fear of what the munchkins might see.

I will speak of it no more.

So, the summer is coming to a close (she goes back next week) and this week so far has been nothing but rain. We of course wanted to end the summer with a bang because you know, whatever cool thing we might have done at the beginning of the summer is now but a faded memory and when asked what you did this summer I want my kid to be all like, "We had the best summer ever!" and not like, "We swam a little I guess." We haven't told her about this yet:

Sooo hopefully she will end her summer off right. I feel like such a bad Mommy though. We decided to switch schools this year (*sniff*) and we weren't told we were accepted there until after we had bought the tickets so...my girl will miss a few days at her new school. Hopefully those couple of days won't throw her off too much. And YES Mr Cook, we're still coming...you filled up my answering machine twice in the last week with the incessant questions. WE ARE COMING alright? Stop calling for the love of Pete. Just a reminder, I'm married with kids. Just sayin'.

I LOVED those opening ceremonies in Beijing~those ceremonies always leave me with this "Look, we CAN all get along" kind of (unrealistic) feeling. *Sigh* HOLY COW the Chinese worked their tushies off and put on quite a show....awesome*!* I can't get over how they lit that torch: )

Although I love the Olympics, my house has been turned into the Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium where my girls are performing an ever changing women's gymnastics floor routine, with performances every stinking half hour.

Every.

Stinking.

Half.

Hour.

"Mom watch! Mom look! Mom I can do it just like them! Mom, I can't do it without the right music! (hmmm....promise?) Mom, I can do that too if I jump off the couch! Mom, I broke my collar bone!" j/k No injuries yet...I should knock on something right? I remember doing that to my Mom too...I LOVED watching Mary Lou*!*

I guess I should write a report about what we did this summer since I feel like I was MIA for a good part of it. Sounds like fun...that will be my assignment for next post.

You may have to get a restraining order on Mr. Cook, that or just leave your family and run off with him!

D, David Cook is only calling you so he can get to me. Sorry girl. LOL

I kept wanting to tell you when I was going thru my pictures from our trip, that picture of Delaney looks JUST like you as a little girl.

When the kiddos go back to school we need another one of our phone/coffee dates.

My pc is in the shop. Got back to work and wasn't paying attention enough to my emails. Clicked on a CNN alert, only to end up with a virust that claims to be an antivirus program. Great!

That concert will be a great gift! I'm sure she won't miss school too much!

I have never had the unnerving experience of having those things pop up. Perhaps I am isolated and one of the "unchosen" ones! I think people must have too much time on their hands. And if they've got that sh*t going on in their minds enough to torment you, they should just be "using" their hands and getting it over with!
Sorry for the "indecency" of my comment. Don't want the kids to read it there where you reside!!! (My humor is somewhat difficult to ascertain at times!)

Oh, I hate those viruses and spyware! We are still battling it on our laptop for more than a month now. We keep trying to fix it and will only pay the Geek Squad when we finally, finally give up. Aaack! There must be some nice geek somewhere who likes cupcakes and can create a cupcake virus.....

Is the American Idols show really sponsored by Pop Tarts? Hahahaha!

I am loving the ABBA. I went and saw Mama Mia 7 years ago - I LOVED it!

I am glad your computer is better!

Those pop ups drive us insane here too. I get those dumb emails a lot too that say "tnbv=let45b421+-" or stupid stuff like that in the subject line. Do they really think I am going to open that? Where does that come from? Some idiot who has nothing better to do with their time?
I loved the opening ceremonies too! That was just so incredibly awesome. They must have practiced for countless hours.
OH- American Idols Live-- how fun! I hope you all have a wonderful time!

I laughed out loud at "mom I broke my collarbone". Probably because we have had a broken collarbone around here and (while it was totally terrifying at the time) it's so funny now!
