a design team project, a lederhosen, and a drunken gnome

I want to say a big THANK YOU to Rhonna Farrer for my awesome new blog banner~isn't it great*!* Thanks again Rhonna, you are THE greatest : )

I posted my next project at FF. It's a mini flip book~I love it*!* One of the DT's (Amy) posted a fall traditions challenge so I decided it was the perfect opportinity to use Dawn's October kit. I used the full length Maya Road chipboard trees included as pages and as a template to cut out more pages from the cardstock and the clear overlay for the cover. I covered the naked tree piece with patterened paper and affixed it to the clear overlay on top. The photo that shows through underneath is a photo of an awesome tree I took last year. Inside I'm putting my favorite pumpkin bread recipe, some of my favorite quotes about fall and photos of our pumpkin patch trip from this year, etc. (Hopefully I will have some real fall leaves to include soon too.) I just love fall and fall colors*!*

I had to make another jumbo paperclip too, just because...tee hee, I like it :)

We had our monthly Bunco game the other night and the theme was DISCO! I wimped out on posting a pic of myself because I did look like a goob (think Meryl Streep singing Super Trouper in MaMa Mia...oh yes I did). I love wearing some fake eyelashes though...tee hee...ahh, it's the little things...

YUMMY*!*
It was my group's turn to bring the food and I thought, what better 70's food than fondue...mmmmmmmm. There were goodies left over so the girls and I gobbled up the rest a couple of nights later. I never get tired of fondue...ya hear that Honey? Wow~if you are looking for hints Babe, I think I just dropped one. MMMmmm, I LOVE fondue.

Yesterday my nephew's school had its annual Oktoberfest~so fun*!* The usual fun stuff for the kids, a scary clown (who ended his little act with these wise words, "Y'all ain't better never drop out of school." Wise, wise words we could all learn from...couldn't we?)

Made by a scary, wise clown--------->>>>>>

This is my Hubby's lederhosen...cute hu? His YiaYia and PaPou brought it back from a trip to Germany when he was about 3. My MIL saved it all of these years so our (nonexistent) son could wear it. Well, I didn't produce an heir to the thrown but since our Nephew was going to be singing at Oktoberfest, it was a no-brainer. How stinking cute is he?

Hubby said no but who cares? Here's a pic of him in all of his cuteness wearing...well, you know.

Some sad news....

Kristy sent me this photo of our friend the gnome. Apparently since the WILD TRIP we took him on, he um.....sort of.....developed.....a um......well, he sort of developed a little habit. Our health insurance won't pay for his treatment (we checked) so I'm having to clean Kristy's house on the weekends to pay for his....um.....time away. Sorry Kristy, I guess I should have gnome...

Thanks to Kristy's sister Cindy for the cutie tootie door mat...he's on the wall in the playroom...I just can't bear to wipe my feet on him. Hopefully I can take care of this one...

You make the best books! I totally want it.

Is your husband mortified? Or maybe he doesn't read your blog?

So sad to hear about the gnome.

I love Bunko! I started a group in Ghana that never took off because you couldn't actually pin people down to be there and I tried to get into the group here, but the woman who was in charge was drunk (seriously!) when I gave her my information and I never heard from her. Most likely she woke up the next morning with my name and email written on her arm and couldn't for the life of her remember what had happened.

Naughty, naughty gnome!

Lurve the project! When you sendin' it on?!?

My studio has now been dubbed the craft pit of doom; both because of the mess and the fall projects. I hate cleaning, so I imagine it will morph into the Christmas workshop gone wild. You're so, so productive! I feel unworthy.

Love the tree album, great photo you capture of that tree. Girl you rock it!

You and that gnome is such a hoot! Love the latest picture. Just keep those keys away from him.

Hey Dianna,
I wanted to just drop you a quick note that I'm shutting down my blog. But I will be back to see the further adventures of Mr. Gnome.

All the best - Jennifer

I love the book. Gonna copy you.
Your blog banner is so cool. DISCO was so flashy. I didn't do the fake eyelashes but I did rollerskate. Poor little ol' you. No more gnome to party with. Is he going into rehab or denial?!?!?

JR co-wrote a song for David Cook??? sigh. Love. (for JR, not David Cook) BTW, your drunken gnome cracks me up, loved his adventures. And your banner by Rhonna Farrer?? You rock. Seriously.
