Advice with love. The start of something big...

Just checked on my girls after tucking them in. How is it that I melt just looking at them while they sleep? They aren't doing a darn thing and I am useless. No funny stories. No impromptu plays. No crazy dress-up. No made up musicals with Star Search type vocal acrobatics. Just quiet peaceful sleep.
Life just keeps going and going, which is good. It's supposed to. The fact that I'm not ready makes no difference to the clock on the table or the calendar on the wall.

Some words for my girls
(or ANY girl for that matter)~

*Have faith. In all things. This is important...and your mama is still working on it.
*Be kind and smile.
*You have NO idea what is happening in the lives of the strangers around you. Again, be kind and smile.
*Listen to good music. Loudly.
*You are NOT fat.
*Trust your gut. God gave it to you for a reason.
*Open your mouth. Speak up.
*Get dirty. You are NOT fragile.
*Details are important. Notice them.
*Feelings are never silly, dumb, or stupid.
*Dance every day.
*Fresh air and sunlight are the best pick-me-ups.
*Laughter is THE best sound in the world.
*Don't be afraid to pick up a lizard or touch a frog (or hook a worm, or squish a bug, or...).
*You determine how others treat you.
*If a boy wants to carry something for you, even though you know you can handle it, let them sometimes.
*Speaking of boys, if they don't treat you like the special, beautiful, intelligent, wonderful person you are...they do NOT deserve to be in your presence. Also, they would be pretty stupid because your father more than likely was cleaning his shotgun when they came to pick you up.
*Choose your friends wisely.
*Floss.
*Mean girls suck. Don't be one.
*You can never un-say something.
*For the love of everything holy...don't slouch! Your posture says more about you than you realize.
*The little things in life are usually the big things.
*Try to stay positive...people like being around positive people. Pretty simple.
*I love you....that's pretty simple too : )

I'll be adding to this list for sure. This is just the beginning ; )
Goodnight

This gave me a tear. It should be required reading for all young girls...and grown up girls, too! Love this, Di!!!!!

But, do we have to squish bugs??? Can't we let a boy do that for us?
