Mallory's "Sweetheart" Party

Ok, some of you are thinking, "Wasn't that kid's birthday 2 days after Christmas?" Yeah, yeah.....would YOU want to throw a birthday party 2 days after Christmas? Poor kid. http://learningtotaketime.blogspot.com/2007/12/my-baby-turns-2.html Anyway, she's 2 and doesn't know the difference...and wow did it make life easier! We were going to do an Elmo party.....but we just weren't feeling it. Walking through Target, we (Mother-in-Law and I) were just drooling over the adorable Valentine's day stuff. The bowls, plates, decorations, etc. , and heck, you just can't get pink and red wrong can you? Soooooo, we threw all of that Elmo garbage back on the shelf and my Mallory had a "Sweetheart" party (NOT Valentine's mind you)...and holy cow was it C*U*T*E! I took a ton of photos of course and here are some of my faves.

She thinks she's smiling...

The cookies on top of her cake...

Yep, those are "altered" Little Debbies *!*

After the singing and candle blowing, she just wanted a quiet-ish corner to eat her ice cream...

This photo cracks me up...it's the morning after.

Doesn't she look like she's recovering from a wild night of partying like a rock star? She was in her birthday suit when I went to get her up that morning with her pj's flung across the room...in true rock star fashion.

I turned around from taking that photo and saw this...it made me smile :)

We're going to a Mardi Gras parade tomorrow and I'm sure I'll have a ton of pics. of that. It's supposed to be a beautiful day for it*!*

I just realized that I never posted pics of the mini album I made my friend Kelly for her birthday~I'll have to get those up soon. It was my first attempt at doing one like that and I LOVED how it turned out (and that doesn't happen much).

Hope everyone is having a fantastical weekend*!*

There was no cute stuff like you had, Martha doesn't live here. hee hee Actually if your free my oldest dd is turning 18 on Sunday, and there are no party plans as of yet. Yes, I am hanging my head low. Seriously, that was a super cute party you threw her, and I love the day after recap. too cute...

Her hair is getting tamer, is it because it's getting longer or are you doing something with it?? I loved those wild curls!! Keep the pics coming.
btw I still show off that album you made me. It's the best and that was the best weekend!

I love the party-Mallory (and Delaney) are so lucky to have such parties......there was no creativity at this house for parties,,,a home-made cake, lots of food and people.....decorations-I think not! Still my kids survived-maybe not with fantastic party memories, but hopefully still had fun.Way to go Dianna
